Brady

Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!  And that is just from me, my kids cannot believe how much they love this dog.  It did not take long for Brady to come out of his shell.  He has become a member of our family very quickly.  He is doing great with the boys, he is getting quite frisky.  But is still very much a cuddle bug. Brady is doing very well with his house training, not an accident yet.  He is very good about going to the door and crying when he needs to go, of course during the day the boys have him outside playing.  He had a play date yesterday with my sister’s Black Lab, and they had the best time.  They were very affectionate and actually looked like twins.  The boys have mastered all your hard work to get him to sit.  He is giving his paw as well.  They are working on “lie down”, and he is quite smart(of course the treats help).    He is also responding to his name.  He no longer hides under the table, he prefers to be where all the action is.  He is also chasing the boys around the house, tail wagging.  So, the true puppy has come out, but as I said, he is very gentle and loves to give kisses.  We are really enjoying him so much.

The Collins Family and Brady

Lindy

Lindy (note we finally picked out a new name for her)  had a great time visiting my family in Rhode Island for Thanksgiving and got to play with my parents’ dogs all day.  The Golden Retriever is my mother’s dog Sadie and the two of them hit it off perfectly.

She was a bit tentative around younger children but by the end of the night she seemed convinced they were not out to get her…  Everything is going well so far!

Mariah (now Little)

Little in action, playing with Joey, her “big sister.” You can see why everyone thinks they are related. Thanks!

Keeva

Keeva ( aka Nestle) and I are in Vermont for the week visiting friends. Things are great! We are both settled in.  Training worked wonders!! Adopting her has been one of the most rewarding things I could have ever dreamed of.

Lily(Wendy)

Lily (Wendy) is making progress! She has had a couple “doggy-play-dates” with my friend’s dogs, and she loves playing with them - which is good as we will be dog sitting those dogs over the Thanksgiving weekend.  I take her in the car whenever I can, and she is getting used to driving and being in new situations. She is still getting along with the chickens - she is curious about them, and I think would like to play with them, but she hasn’t been aggressive at all towards them.  She stays within sight and comes to us when called when she is off-leash.  She is still timid around my husband, but that is coming along.  She still prefers to go to her crate when she hears him, but she isn’t as petrified as she once was.  And she absolutely loves playing in leaf piles!  The kids made a huge leave pit that they were jumping into, and she had a grand time burrowing through the leaves, and even jumping off the mini-trampoline they’d set up to jump in the leaves too.  She will even jump in the leaves when she is alone and have fun running around in them.  (The kids think this is a good indication that she will be a great snow-dog!) Lily is a sweet dog and we are enjoying her very much.
