Bess aka Cassie

All is well here. Bess is a happy dog and remarkably calm and always trying to please. The children love her and the feeling is mutual as she always has lots going on around her. We have crate trained her and she is feeling very secure in her surroundings. We installed invisible fence so she has 7 acres of freedom to roam and loves to take herself off wandering in the snow. We, as a family have enjoyed being forced to get out and go for walks with her. We are starting obedience classes this Friday and I think that she will respond quickly. My 9 year old son, Oliver is keen to take her to agility classes this summer which should wear them both out. We will continue to give you updates as she grows. Right now, her legs are too long for her body so she looks a little lanky. What are you considering their birth date? I am bringing Bess to the vet tonight to get her kennel cough treatment which is required for obedience training. Thanks for checking in with us – it has been a great success all round.

Cosmo

Cos is now a huge, giant baby puppy. His new self-appointed “mom” is a 4 y/o male cairn terrior who is teaching him everything dogs need to know and keeping his ears clean. Cosmo is doing great and very puppyfully active. As I’ve read and found more information about the process of rescuing pups and even adult dogs from some of the kill shelters and unrestricted breeding pile-ups in other areas, like Tennessee, I am grateful and amazed at the work and dedication that has gone into placing animals that deserve a loving home.

Casey

Casey is wonderful. Took him to puppy school on Saturday so the girls will know how to handle him and received many offers for “trades”. One woman actually asked why we were there as he was so well behaved. He loves to be outdoors especially with Truro chewing sticks or yesterday running through the snow with the girls trying to eat snowflakes. He is great thanks!

Lana is a DREAM dog!!!!!! We didn’t get her home until about 3:45 after stopping at PetCo and Target (which we got thrown out of for bringing the dog into) because we had to get all her supplies, i.e. corral, bed, toys, food, dishes, etc. She adjusted to the house great! Knows exactly what to do outside, and quickly! She also knows what the paper is for. I set up her corral exactly as you had it at your home. She loves Mini and Mini is adjusting well (except for peeing right in front of me in the kitchen (new place) this morning. She slept all night. Went to bed at 10:00 PM. up at 6:00AM. We all are going to adjust fine, well maybe not Bitsy, she has been hiding in the basement since yesterday. I will keep you updated with
pictures as well.

Fondly,
Cynthia
