JoJo

I just wanted to send you an update on JoJo.
She couldn’t be doing better!! She has really become a model citizen. She is always the friendliest and best behaved dog at the dog park. She plays with the dogs (of all sizes) and people (of all sizes, too). She has learned very nice elevator behavior where she sits between my legs and waits for others to get in and out when the elevator is crowded. She is the ultimate afternoon nap buddy, too! :o) We also enjoy many mornings and afternoons playing fetch with the tennis ball, she spends a lot of time with her squeaky toys and chew bones, and she has a growing fondness for playing with sticks outside.

Everyone loves her!
Also because she is such a beautiful pup and so well behaved people always ask where I got her from, and are surprised that she is a rescue dog. Hopefully she is changing the impression some people around us have about getting a dog from rescue opposed to getting one from a breeder!

It’s such a beautiful day we are going to go out for a second walk now!

Buck

**Update 6/25/07

It’s been a little over one month since our last update on Buck.  He
continues to impress everyone with his good behavior.  He has acclimated
himself well to our electric fence and enjoys his freedom in the yard,
particularly when chasing the chipmunks (up to the electric fence
boundary several feet into the woods).  On weekends he likes spending
the entire day outside, and on weekdays occasionally travels with
Richard to work.  Resolving his dental issues unfortunately resulted in
losing a few teeth,  but hopefully that was the worst of it, and we’re
optimistic then he’ll have no additional dental problems.

We’ll try and forward pictures in the future.
Thanks again for all your dedication & hard work!!

Sincerely,
Richard & Alice Rondeau

I wanted to give you both an update on Buck. As you know, we adopted him Monday evening, May 14th. He is adapting very well and is a very loving dog.

Richard and I would also like to thank you both and acknowledge the hard work you and your teammates do for these dogs. You are making such a significant contribution, your efforts truly do make such a difference to these animals and to us humans too! You cannot be thanked enough for all your hard work.

Buck is scheduled to go to our vet next week to have his dental issues checked. He has a forever home.

Joanne, it was such a pleasure meeting you.

Thank you both!!

Alice & Richard Rondeau

Nala

Thanks so much for checking in. Nala is doing great. She has gained about 8 pounds and looks wonderful. Her coat is in super shape. She is affectionate and mostly bonded to us. She gets four walks a day, including long romps in the woods on the weekends. We are taking obedience classes every other week, and learning how to train her in basic commands. she has a good appetite for toys and food. We just started treating her with natural medicine for fleas and ticks-so far so good. she gets baths a couple times a month, and sleeps in her own room.  She has a pretty good track record of coming when called, but has recently become a little naughty and defiant when off-leash, which we are working on. We both love her tremendously, and it has been really nice to see Marc fall in love with her after his years of mostly preferring cats. We have established ourselves with a great vet in the neighborhood and found a great dog-walker who comes once a week when we have our one long day away from the house. Nala plays really well with other dogs, and has been consistently reliable with children. She gets very enthusiastic when visitors come to the house, and it is very gratifying to see her after a few hours away-she wiggles uncontrollably.  Thanks again for helping us connect with nala. she has been a fantastic addition to our lives.

All the best,
Jen
