Meeko aka Prada

Hello Everyone,

I just thought I would send a little update on Meeko.  It has been 6 months since Meeko first came into my life, I can’t believe it!  It feels like so much longer then that!!  She is doing great and is SPOILED!! My mother says she fears what my children are going to end up like, given what my dog is like! And my younger sister says she will NEVER  babysit my children after dog sitting my dog for a few days! Hahaha!!!
Meeko is a healthy, almost one year old now, she is one of the goofiest, happiest, loving dogs I have ever met!  She was indeed a perfect match for me.  We are always taking walks or going to beach area at a park near by that is very dog friendly.  Meeko LOVES to meet other dogs and play with them in the water (must be the Lab in her).
In the past six months Meeko has become my best friend.  She snuggles with me at night (as you can see from the picture she takes over the full size bed), she loves to give me kisses (as you can tell from the pic I was trying to take of the two of us together).  I take her everywhere I can, which is not an easy task for an almost 60lb dog!
I just wanted to give you a quick update and let you know how happy I am with Meeko.

Thank You Again!!

Andie aka Cinders

We cannot say enough about our baby girl.  She is the most amazing dog.  She is extremely playful, yet gentle with children.  I have never met a bigger \”snugglemuffin\” in my life.  Words could never express our gratitude to you for making our \”love connection\”.  The support we received while transitioning Andie into our already animal filled home(1 dog now 2, 2 cats,2 ferrets, 2 lizards, and a snake) was invaluable.  At first, we thought she wanted to be an only child. Within two days, she was part of the family.  Her demeanor, as well as her face, had changed.  She actually looked like a different dog.  Andie has a totally different look in her eyes now.  She knows she is in her forever home and that her sibblings are a blessing/playmates not competition.  There\’s plenty of love(and her big concern–food) to go around. We can\’t even imagine our home without her.  Keep up the good work!

Cherokee’s Foster

We just fostered a dog for Petmatchmaker and loved it.  It’s hard to let them go, but training the dog and giving him a loving home until he finds his match is rewarding.  This reminded me that you might like a quick update  on Cherokee.  She is doing well.  She is very lanky and still goofy with her long legs and big paws.  She is almost 40 lbs.  She is still eager to learn, but her sassy personality shines through occasionally ;)  She is very vocal and if we “forget” to feed her she reminds us until we do.  Here are a few pics.  She loves to sun.  The one of her on the front porch shows her sassy attitude.

Joy

Please let the foster families of Joy (now Pesky) has fit right in with her new family. We are enjoying her so much. She is playful during the days and in the evenings will cuddle up and watch the Red Sox games with us. She has slept soundly through both nights so far snuggled up to her Cat in the Hat stuffed animal. It didn’t take long for her to steal our hearts. She seems happy and is eating good. We are working on the housebreaking! Thank you for taking such good care of her. She seems so well adjusted for such a little peanut. I will forward some pictures for the fosters when I get a chance to put them into the computer. She is the perfect fit for our kids and is getting SO much love and attention.

Jilly

We got Jilly home around 5pm yesterday and just wanted to let you know how
well she’s doing. She was excellent in the crate on the way home and last
night too. She woke me up around 3am to go outside to the bathroom then went
right back in her crate and slept the remainder of the night!  No accidents
in the house yet - she goes to the bathroom as soon as we take her out in
the yard.

She met our cat George as soon as we came home and they hit it off right
away. George seems to like the fact that he and Jilly are about the same
size - it evens out the playing field a bit since he was used to playing
with our 75 lb. Shepherd.

She has a fantastic disposition - loves to be snuggled and pet and gives
back lots of kisses in return. Although she gets excited sometimes she seems
fairly calm for a puppy of that age! She’s does pretty well on the leash. My
son and I took her for a walk first thing this morning as he couldn’t wait
to show her off to the neighbors.  Jilly already seems to know not to jump up to much on the kids and she seems very comfortable here - not nervous at all!

We’ll check in again soon and send some photos. So far so good and we
absolutely adore her!! She was definitely the one for us!!!

Thank You!!!
Joanna
