We are a non-profit rescue group headquartered in Newport, Rhode Island and Memphis, Tennessee. Our rescue is comprised of three friends that share the same desire — to save as many dogs as possible from unfortunate situations in the southern United States:

  • high-risk (often three day kill) shelters
  • abandonment
  • starvation
  • lack of care

We have banded together to bring these dogs from the south to New England where we can achieve a greater rate of adoption.
We operate as a network of foster homes, both in the South and in New England. Our dogs are located in shelters or foster care – and all are awaiting forever homes. We would welcome the opportunity to work with you to help you find a match and a friend for life.

Join us at the annual Pet Rock Festival held Sunday, September 14, 2008 at Quinsigamond Community College in Worcester MA. Bring your dogs as there are many fun toys and gifts for them! And for anyone who has adopted a dog fostered by Nancy Rothe in Mississippi, she will be there!! She would love to see any of her former foster dogs at Pet Rock. HOPE TO SEE YOU THERE! Also, for those of you who are sports fans, be prepared to come meet a surprise celebrity at our booth for autographs and pictures!

The name is unusual, but the first time I saw his picture, ‘Roger’ was the first name to pop into my head.

Also, Rick (my husband) is a pilot, and his favorite movie is ‘Airplane’.  In the move, the Co-pilot is Roger.  (So when the control tower speaks to the co-pilot, they say, “Roger, Roger.”  Pilots aren’t known for their keen sense of humor. :)

Here is a picture of him with his stuffed bee, which he really likes.

She is absolutely adorable!!!! The second I saw her my heart melted and i cried! She slept on my lap the whole way home while my fiance drove. She is so playful and likes to chew everything!! Thanks for keeping me informed about her until she got to me. We are very happy with her in our family now.
